LungMark - Biological and radiological biomarkers for the diagnosis of pulmonary diseases
Lungmark is a Université Côte d'Azur Data Science Project, co-funded by the MSI
Project Leader: Hervé Delingette
Project Partners: Hervé Delingette (Inria Sophia Antipolis Méditerranée, Epione Team), Paul Hofman (LPCE, CHUN*, IRCAN), Charles Hugo Marquette (Pneumology Department, CHUN*), Bernard Padovani (Radiology Department, CHUN*)
*Nice University Hospital Center (CHUN)
The LungMark project aims to improve the detection and treatment of 3 pulmonary pathologies: lung cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and pulmonary fibrosis. More precisely, the project aims to use supervised and unsupervised learning techniques to extract 3 types of biomarkers, and to combine biological information and medical imaging to:
• measure the evolution of chronic respiratory diseases such as COPD and pulmonary fibrosis.
• measure the severity of pulmonary lesions at an early stage in order to decide quickly on the patient care.
• detect lung cancer at an early stage in patients with emphysema and fibrosis.
Project Start and End Dates: October 2017 - March 2021
